The work. What it is. What it delivers.

Six areas of senior practice. Each one addresses a real gap in how organisations communicate, and each one is delivered by me.

Fractional CCO & communications leadership

Senior communications leadership on retainer, for organisations ready to invest in strategy without a full-time hire. C-suite advisory, team direction, governance and an embedded partner who shows up like an executive — because that is exactly what this is.

What this drives: a communications function that operates at executive level from day one.

Narrative & messaging architecture

The integrated messaging platform that every channel, leader and campaign is built from. Core narrative, proof points and audience-specific versions that make an organisation unmistakably clear to every public that matters to its growth.

What this drives: market clarity, investor confidence and a consistent voice everywhere.

AI visibility & GEO strategy

The narrative, content and earned media strategy that makes a brand ready to be found and cited by AI systems. I treat this as a communications discipline rather than a technical one: I architect the strategy, and specialists execute from the brief.

What this drives: presence in the answers your buyers are already reading.

Executive & leadership voice development

Advisory and coaching for C-suite storytelling, thought leadership positioning and public voice across media, analyst, employee and AI-facing contexts. Leaders who communicate with confidence and consistency build organisations that grow the same way.

What this drives: leaders who sound like themselves, consistently, in every room.

Internal communications strategy

Strategy, framework design, manager toolkits and measurement for the audience most organisations underserve: their own people. The most engaged workforces are built on clear, consistent, human communication from leaders who know what to say and how to say it.

What this drives: employees who understand the strategy well enough to act on it.

Change & transformation communications

The narrative framework and stakeholder strategy for M&A integration, AI adoption, restructuring and new market entry. Define the story, equip the leaders, align the channels and give every audience a reason to believe in what comes next.

What this drives: change that lands, instead of change that is merely announced.

How we work together

Three ways to engage.

Retainer

An ongoing senior partnership. I work as your communications leader on a defined monthly commitment, with continuity across strategy, execution oversight and advisory.

Project

A defined scope with a clear deliverable — a messaging platform, a change narrative, an AI visibility strategy. Fixed timeline and investment.

Advisory sprint

An intensive, short-form engagement for a specific challenge. Two to four weeks. Fast, focused and built for moments that cannot wait.

What exactly is a fractional CCO?
It is senior communications leadership on a part-time, ongoing basis. You get the strategic judgment, executive presence and functional ownership of a chief communications officer, sized and priced for an organisation that is not ready to carry that role full time.
How is this different from hiring an agency?
An agency sells you a team, most of which you never meet. I sell you me. The person who designs the strategy is the person who sits in your leadership meetings, writes the CEO's remarks and briefs whichever specialists we bring in to execute.
What size of organisation do you work with?
Organisations complex enough to need senior communications architecture, and lean enough to benefit from a fractional model rather than a full-time executive hire. That usually means a leadership team that already knows what it wants to say and needs a partner to build the infrastructure that gets it said.
How do engagements usually start?
With a conversation about what you are trying to achieve, followed by a short scoping proposal. Most engagements begin as either an advisory sprint or a defined project, and many convert to a retainer once we know how we work together.
Do you execute, or only advise?
Both, deliberately. I build the strategy and I stay close enough to the work to write, edit, prepare and pressure-test it. Where volume execution is needed, I brief and direct specialists rather than expanding my own scope.
Are you available for in-house roles?
Yes. Alongside fractional engagements, I am open to in-house communications leadership roles. If that is the conversation you want to have, get in touch.
